I love the idea of a rubber ducky theme because not only is it just too darn cute but it is quite easy to find decorations as well!!
Theme: Bath time/Rubber Ducky
Color Scheme: For Girl: baby pink/yellow/white
For Boy: baby blue/yellow/white
Using a color scheme will help make everything look uniform and coordinated and will also help make things a bit easier when going shopping for items such as napkins, plates, decorations, etc.!! I also like to pick out decorations that can later be gifted to the parents-to-be (that way your not stuck with lots and lots of stuff you wont ever use again!)!!!
Decorations: Tissue paper pompoms (A must have at any party. They're cheap and easy to make!! Instant Wow Factor!!)
You can also make a garland and drape it on the gift table (actually anywhere) which can later be hung in the baby's nursery. Can be made out of fabric swatches or scrap paper:

Or have each guest bring a onesie and pin it to a clothes line (made from ribbon)!
Scattering baby items such as shampoo, powder, and bath towels are a nice touch and are practical too! (Here is where the parents could take the items home with them.)

Centerpieces: Rubber duckies in a glass bowl with Styrofoam and glass "bubbles" are SO cute to use as centerpieces on each table! Also, small blue marbles scattered on the tables adds a cute (attention to detail) touch! Depending on the size of the party and the budget you are working with you can alternate with white/yellow flowers!!
Table scape: Pick out napkins and plates in chosen color scheme and decorate with large plastic paci's as napkin rings. I'm sure they are available at party supply stores (maybe even dollar stores?!?!?).
Food: :I would say anything is fair game when it comes to food!! You can pick food to coordinate with your color scheme (if you want to really be picky) or you can have fun with small touches such as a cute/fun punch bowl (using blue ice cream?!?!):

I really can go on and on and show picture after picture but I just wanted to show a general visualization and the different types of ideas that can be done to make a party look extra special!! I hope this helps!!
